pop up stand

Internship | 2019

A light-weight, customizable, portable stand made specifically for pop up stalls to maximize the utility of a 10 ft. x10 ft. standard booth.

Designed to display lifestyle products like bags, clocks, coasters, and books. Products can be displayed either by hanging them on hooks or arranging them on shelves.

 

Custom designed pegs can be screwed into the panel as desired by the user, enabling it to be used as a hook, or a support for a shelf.

  • To design a customized product for Zwende, a retail company, I interned at for 3 months.

  • The product is meant to be for pop-up stalls.

  • Conducted ethnographic research on employees that frequently manned the pop-up stalls.

  • Identified and coordinated production with a contract manufacturing team.

  • Used specific machining processes to enable a user friendly and efficient installation.

  • Delivered two units manufactured using HDPE (high density poly-ethylene) sheets, machined & turned pegs using CNC machine and detachable aluminum die-cast hinges from FATH, Germany.
